Since 2015, the Reggae Rise Up Festival has rocked the nation by bringing in the biggest names in music. The yearly music fest not only showcases incredible tunes but also the love for art and culture. Each year, fans from all over the world – as far as Japan, India, and Australia, fly to the U.S. to catch this groundbreaking multi-genre extravaganza. Contrary to popular belief, the festival not only features reggae music. Although this particular genre is the highlight, the festival has been known to deliver hip-hop, rock, pop, funk, and jazz artists.
Every year, the Reggae Rise Up gathers up to 20,000 music enthusiasts per day. The highly-attended event features a wide range of artists, from big names to up-and-coming bands and solo acts. In the past, the line-up has included sensational reggae rock powerhouses Rebelution and Slightly Stoopid; reggae icons Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Soja, and Shaggy; hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa, reggae pop fusion Iration and more. The following year, the festival moved to Vinoy Park and featured Dirty Heads, Tribal Seeds, and Stick Figure on the top billing. By this time, the show has been gaining traction as one of the must-see festivals of the season.
In 2017, Reggae Rise Up grew into a two-day festival featuring Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, Iration, and more. The shows featured a total of 24 performers held at the vast concert grounds of Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg. From 2018 and 2019, the festival has become a whole weekend spectacle with three days of great music. During these years, Reggae Rise Up saw the return of Stick Figure, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, and Rebelution. In 2019, the festival was headlined by Stephen Marley for the first time.
In 2021, the brand expanded to Las Vegas and held a two-day festival at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. The following year, the Reggae Rise Up Vegas became a three-day festival featuring a power-packed line-up. The same year, the series added a three-day fest in Baltimore, Maryland, for the first time.
The recently completed Rise Up in Florida saw the debut of Sublime with Rome, Koffee, and Wiz Khalifa as headliners.
